Environmental/Natural Resource Advisor to the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC).
Our tasks involved:
- Supporting the work at regional and national levels on costing climate change impacts on the water, tourism and agriculture sectors,
- Developing and training regional personnel on costing adaptation options in these sectors and using these results to inform sectoral adaptation policy and implementation plans,
- Advising the organizations on the use of information derived from assessments for decision making in climate change adaptation,
- Mentoring and teaching personnel in the Caribbean region on approaches to cost benefit analyses of adaptation options including the costs of delayed action,
- Preparing training material on the methods utilized in carrying out costing of impacts and adaptation options to include methods for assessment of environmental services, and
- Liaising closely with national climate change focal points training institutions within the region and other regional institutions conducting similar activities.
