Designed a Strategy Paper for the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on Food Security, financed by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO/UN) Branch Office in Trinidad and Tobago.
Our tasks included:
- Preparing a situational analysis of Food security and Vulnerability in CARIFORUM that included a summary of key policy information at the national and regional level,
- Reviewing the key national/regional policies, strategies and responses to the factors and conditions which could create vulnerability from a food security perspective. Based on the situational analysis and the review of key national/regional policies, strategies and responses, we identified the main areas of deficiency and existing gaps that required intervention in an effort to address food insecurity and vulnerability, and
- Providing guidelines in terms of appropriate institutional arrangements and other mechanisms for the effective implementation of regional food security policies, strategies, programs and actions.
