Designed a Strategy Paper for the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on Food Security, financed by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO/UN) Branch Office in Trinidad and Tobago.

Our tasks included:

1. Preparing a situational analysis of Food security and Vulnerability in CARIFORUM that  included a summary of key policy information at the national and regional level,
2. Reviewing the key national/regional policies, strategies and responses to the factors and conditions which could create vulnerability from a food security perspective. Based on the situational analysis and the review of key national/regional policies, strategies and responses, we identified the main areas of deficiency and existing gaps that  required intervention in an effort to address food insecurity and vulnerability, and
3. Providing guidelines in terms of appropriate institutional arrangements and other mechanisms for the effective implementation of regional food security policies, strategies, programs and actions.
